Phillip Island

All this weekend getaway needed was a usable space to hangout. An elevated block can be advantageous if used correctly.  With no real view, the client opted for a traditional timber rail that kept with the homes heritage. The 2 tone handrail kept with the era of the house. The roof gave both the deck and homeowners added protection from the sun, ensuring the space could be used all year round.

Frankston South with Trellis Infills

Its all in the detail. To ensure our decks look finished, a picture framed boarder is always added. This, along with a well positioned breaker board, ensures wastage is kept to a minimum, costs are kept low, and the end result becomes a talking point for all the right reasons. Breaker boards are critical in composite decks, when the total deck length or depth is longer than a single board length. The use of trellis infills to close in the sides, gave the deck a very American feel, with the closed steps finishing off the project nicely.

Langwarrin

This space has everything. A shaded pergola built off extending brackets gives the areas great ventilation. Traditional Merbau decking was used for that country feel, complete with a closed corrugated bar ledge to lean against after 1 too many beers. An open area at the end of the deck covered by steel rods gives the feeling of a beer garden. The surrounding bamboo trees creates shade and adds colour, while the bar fridge and BBQ ensure guests will always be entertained.

Mt Waverley

There is so much detail in this project. Every step, corner, and side skirting have been individually cut to ensure the result is near perfect.
A custom made planter box, with built-in core 10 steel infills, and frameless glass railing and stainless steel spigots complement the rest of the project. AZEK Coastline was used as the clients wanted a weathered look.

QLD spotted gum looks beautiful if installed correctly. This little project filled the space perfectly. A raised roof pergola meant hot air would never be trapped under the roof line, and the covered QLD spotted gum deck means the boards will always have protection from the sun
