The client's brief was low maintenance, sustainable, and beautiful. A long walkway connected the front to back of the home. One step up at the end of the runway, and bang, straight into the and the backyard.

This once concrete pad is now an inner-city oasis. BBQ, outdoor kitchen and sitting area is all that's required for a family of 2 who wants to make the most of their private space.

We used a timber pendulum to create the radius and transferred that to some yellow tongue flooring where we created the same radius and mould. Once that was done a board was heated, laid in the mould and curved. Once cooled, that board formed the outer edge of the deck.

What a transformation. A once old iron bark 32mm thick decking board covered this space.
We kept the structure, laminated a new joist next to the existing, add protection to the joists and rebuilt it better than ever.

A once dilapidated, unsafe entry deck, has. Ow been fully restored, given the home fantastic street appeal, and a space that the family can enjoy views of Port Phillip Bay.

Millboard Golden Oak boards were used to transform the old tired deck into this tropical paradise.
