Project

Curved deck anyone

This was an awesome project . Constructing this 1/4 pie shaped deck was a real challenge but completely satisfying. The set out had to be millimetre perfect in order for this to work. We used a timber pendulum to create the radius and transferred that to some yellow tongue flooring where we created the same radius and mould. Once that was done a board was heated, laid in the mould and curved. Once cooled, that board formed the outer edge of the deck.

This deck was a mixture of Azek ( curved boards and picture frames) and WoodEvo, main decking board. The contrast worked perfectly.

Berwick

The half-moon shaped deck located adjacent to the pool complements what was already a beautiful space. The single step up gave the impression of a slightly elevated platform, a perfect spot for lazing around while relaxing underneath the tropical palms.

Ringwood

Contrasting board colours made it super easy to see the deck edges and step treads. Deck lights located on the risers enabled the treats to be seen clearly at night while additional light highlights the deck edge.
One of the most realistic composite boards on the market, so you can see why this board is fast becoming very popular.
