This, along with a well positioned breaker board, ensures wastage is kept to a minimum, costs are kept low, and the end result becomes a talking point for all the right reasons. Breaker boards are critical in composite decks, when the total deck length or depth is longer than a single board length. The use of trellis infills to close in the sides, gave the deck a very American feel, with the closed steps finishing off the project nicely.
