Approximately 99% of our projects involve deck refurbishment. Composite decking subfloors differ from traditional timber structures; therefore, we replace old joists with new treated pine joists and reduce the joist spacing from the standard 450mm to 400mm. To further enhance structural integrity and minimise composite board wastage, we often reduce joist spacing to 380mm, exceeding manufacturer recommendations.
